Terms of Use

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using eCoach, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and us.

2. Description of the Service

eCoach is a digital coaching platform for building drills, planning sessions, creating tactical boards, managing team rosters and using optional AI-assisted tools through a web browser at ecoach.app.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the permission of a parent, guardian, club, or other responsible adult where required.

4. Account Responsibilities

Your account is strictly personal

Selling, renting, lending, trading, transferring, or otherwise sharing an eCoach account, subscription, invite, or access code is strictly prohibited. Using, logging into, or operating an account that belongs to someone else is also prohibited. Every account and subscription is personal to one named person. Trading an account or letting a third party use yours is a serious breach of these Terms and may lead to immediate suspension or termination of every account involved, with no refund, loss of access for everyone involved and legal action to stop the misuse and recover any resulting damages, including civil claims and, where applicable, referral to the competent authorities for criminal proceedings.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and use a secure device.
  • Each account and subscription is personal to one person. Do not share login details or let another person use your account.
  • Do not sell, rent, lend, trade, transfer, or commercially exploit any eCoach account, subscription, invite, or access right.
  • Provide accurate and complete registration, billing, team and profile details.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account and for keeping team access codes under control.
  • Tell us immediately if you believe your account, trusted device, or team workspace has been accessed without permission.
  • Head coaches are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and appropriate consent basis for player data they enter, including data relating to minors.
  • Do not enter unnecessary sensitive health, medical, or special-category data unless you have a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable law, federation rules, club policies, or third-party rights.
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, harmful content, or content that infringes privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property rights.
  • Attempt to access the Service, other accounts, team workspaces, or infrastructure without authorization.
  • Scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or automatically extract data from the Service without written permission.
  • Impersonate another person or organization or misrepresent your role, authority, club, or team.
  • Enter player, minor, or staff data without the required authority, notice, consent, or other lawful basis.
  • Use AI-generated content in ways that infringe third-party rights, break applicable rules, or replace qualified professional judgment.
  • Use the Service for emergency, medical, injury, safeguarding, or safety-critical decisions.
  • Interfere with the Service or the servers connected to it.
  • Share your account with other people or allow multiple users to operate a single account.
  • Sell, rent, lend, trade, sublicense, resell, or transfer accounts, subscriptions, access codes, or paid access to another person or business.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Service, including its design, source code, branding, interface components, documentation and library materials, belongs to eCoach or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.

6.2 Your Content

You keep ownership of the drills, sessions, tactical boards, notes and other content you create. You grant eCoach a limited licence to host, store, process and display that content only as needed to provide the Service to you.

6.3 AI-Assisted Content

AI-generated training ideas and suggestions are provided to support your work. You remain responsible for reviewing, editing and validating that content before using it in training or sharing it with staff or players.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

  • eCoach offers free and paid plans. Paid features require an active subscription or an active trial where offered.
  • Each subscription is individual and may only be used by the account holder. A team may include more people only through their own permitted accounts or licences.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe. eCoach does not store your full payment card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the current billing period ends.
  • You may cancel through Settings or the Stripe customer portal. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Trials, discounts and promotional access may end, convert, or be withdrawn according to the terms shown when they are offered.
  • Failed payments, chargebacks, account sharing, resale, or suspected abuse may result in suspension or limitation of paid features.
  • Refund requests are reviewed case by case unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
  • We may change pricing, plan limits and included features with reasonable notice to active subscribers.

8. Team Features and Shared Data

Head coaches can create teams and invite assistants or players through team codes. By joining a team, members understand that the head coach and authorized staff may view team-related profile, roster, attendance, session, drill, tactical, evaluation, notification and share data inside that team workspace. Head coaches are responsible for assigning roles correctly and removing access when someone should no longer see team data.

9. Coaching, Safety and Health Disclaimer

eCoach is a planning, organization, visualization and productivity tool for coaches. It does not provide medical, health, legal, safeguarding, emergency, fitness-certification, or professional coaching advice and it does not replace your own qualified judgment.

  • You are responsible for deciding whether a drill, session, tactic, workload, or instruction is appropriate for your players, staff, facilities, weather, equipment, rules and match context.
  • You must adapt all plans for age, ability, injury status, medical restrictions, safeguarding obligations and local coaching requirements.
  • You should consult qualified medical, safeguarding, legal, or sports-science professionals where needed.
  • You must stop or change any activity that appears unsafe or unsuitable.
  • You accept that football and physical training involve inherent risk, including fatigue, collision, illness, injury and property damage.

No feature, template, AI suggestion, library article, tactical board, export, notification, or shared session should be treated as a guarantee of safety, performance, compliance, selection, match results, player development, or injury prevention.

10. Third-Party Services

Some features rely on third-party services such as Supabase, Stripe, Strava, Netlify and AI providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, availability and account requirements. eCoach is not responsible for third-party outages, processing decisions, API changes, data practices, or charges outside our control.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, eCoach disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, security beyond reasonable safeguards and compatibility with every browser, device, way of working, league, club, or jurisdiction.

AI-generated content, coaching-library content, tactical suggestions, templates, exports and analytics are informational and suggestive only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, unsafe, unsuitable, or non-compliant for a particular team, player, venue, competition, or country. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, adapting and validating them before use.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, eCoach will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages arising from:

  • Your use of the Service or inability to use it.
  • Training decisions, coaching outcomes, team performance, player availability, injuries, medical events, safeguarding issues, or property damage.
  • Unauthorized access to, alteration, deletion, corruption, or loss of your data, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
  • Downtime, delays, errors, security events, or data loss caused by third-party providers, networks, browsers, devices, or events outside our reasonable control.
  • Conduct, content, integrations, or services of third parties.
  • Content obtained through the Service, including AI-assisted output, library content, exports, shared links, or user-generated content.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunities, data, or anticipated savings.

Where the law allows it, our total aggregate liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to eCoach in the 12 months before the claim arose or EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, such as liability for intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless eCoach, its affiliates, personnel and service providers from claims, losses, damages, fines, costs and expenses that arise from your unlawful use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your content or team data, your coaching decisions, your violation of third-party rights, or your failure to obtain required permissions or consents.

14. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law.
  • After termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may retain limited data where the law requires it or where it is necessary for legitimate business purposes.
  • Terms that should reasonably survive termination, such as intellectual property, liability limits and indemnification, remain in effect.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the laws of the member state in which the service is established. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

If you are an EU consumer, any mandatory consumer protections available under the law of your country of residence continue to apply.

16. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute comes up, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the date shown on this page and may also notify you by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.

18. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force to the extent permitted by law.
